Farm Equipment / Commercial Business Division

We have conducted thousands of auctions so you can rest assured that your valuables are in good and caring hands. Many items fall under the category of personal property. It includes items old and new, big and small. You name it and it has probably been sold at an auction.

When selling personal property there are several decisions that need to be made.

  • What type of auction should I have?
  • When should I have my auction?
  • What should I sell?
  • We have sold everything at auction from primitives, collectibles, glassware and household items to farm machinery and business liquidations. We understand that many times these sales are the result of a major life change and we bring that sensitivity with us every step of the way.

    Online

We have always strived to offer our clients the latest and greatest technology. That’s why we were one of the first in our area to offer online only auctions. We quickly recognized the value of an online bidding platform that allowed interested parties to bid 24 hours a day from anywhere in the world. Online auctions allow us to market your assets to the greatest number of people in the most efficient and cost effective manner, leading to the greatest return to our sellers. We don’t just sell to the neighbors – we sell to the world!

To business owners time is money. People are busy. They don’t have time to invest several days to travel to your location just to bid on a few items. Today’s buyers are tech savvy and they want it on their terms and at their fingertips. With an online auction, bidders can view and bid on your items 24 hours a day from the comfort of their home or office, on their desktop computer or a mobile device. With our auctions we regularly attract bidders from around the nation … and sometimes the world. We have shipped various types of assets including antiques, farm machinery, equipment, and electronics to Mexico, Canada, and Europe. With an online auction conducted by Theurer Auction/ Realty, we just don’t sell your assets to your competition down the street we sell them to the world!!!!!

The advantages of online auctions are numerous:

    1.    More bidders: We don’t just sell to your neighbors — we attract tens of thousands of bidders from around the world.
    2.    Time: Your items are exposed to potential buyers for weeks to bid rather than one day when only those that can be at your auction can bid.
    3.    Inclement Weather: No matter the weather conditions, it won’t affect your auction.
    4.    $$$$ The more bidders … the greater competition … leads to higher prices for your items.
    5.    Less liability: With an online auction you limit the risk of someone being hurt on your property or someone stealing or damaging your valuables.
    6.    Less expenses: You no longer need to pay to box and pack and move your items, rent tents, toilets, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc…….
    7.    Marketing: Marketing costs are cut considerably because you now can reach a worldwide audience with the click of a button.
    8.    You don’t need hundreds of items to have an auction. We conduct single item auctions such as farm or construction equipment, cars, trucks, motorcycles, campers, etc ….

    What can Theurer Auction/Realty sell?
We can sell almost anything: On average 98% of practically everything in your home can be sold through an online auction. You name it, we have probably sold it from valuable antiques to farm equipment, guns, specialty collections (coins, toys, sports memorabilia, etc) to high tech medical equipment, and more.

    How much does it cost?

We work on a commission plus labor and advertising basis. Meaning we keep a percentage of the proceeds of what is sold. There is no upfront or out of pocket expenses in most cases. After discussing what you are selling and what would be involved, we would be able to give you the actual percentage it would cost to conduct your auction. Because we work on a commission basis we want to get the highest possible price for your items. We truly have your best interest at heart because when we make you more money we make more money

    How long does it take?

When necessary we can conduct auctions in as little as four days from start to finish. Ideally we like 10-20 days to complete your auction.

    Timing

Days 1-3: Organize, display, photograph and catalog your items
Days 4-5: Office staff uploads and prepares your auction to go live on our website
Days 6-15: Your items are made available to the world on our website for bidding. Our staff markets your auction using multiple methods (i.e., Facebook, e-Blasts, Craigslist, websites, etc).
Day 16: Competition is fierce the last day of the auction — particularly within the last couple of hours. Most people wait to bid in the last 20 to 30 minutes. Your auction closes and we process all payments.
Day 18: Our professionally trained staff supervises a one to four hour pickup
